Naga Chaitanya-Tamannaah movie launched!
It is already reported to our viewers that Naga Chaitanya has signed up a new film under Allu Aravind’s Geeta Arts banner which is to be directed by Sukumar. Milky beauty Tamannaah is pairing with Naga Chaitanya in this film.
The movie was launched yesterday at Annapurna Studios and director S.S. Rajamouli has switched on the camera while Nagarjuna gave the clap for the Muhuraat shot.
The event was attended by many biggies of the industry such as Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Rama Naidu, K. Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Suresh Babu, Nagarjuna, SS Rajamouli, Allu Sirish and others.
The movie is produced by Bunny Vasu. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music. Chandrasekhar T. Ramesh has given the script while Hari Prasad is handling the Screenplay. Prasad takes the charge of cinematography.
Sunil’s ‘Maryada Ramanna’ sold for 23 crores!
Comedian turned hero Sunil’s latest forthcoming flick ‘Maryada Ramanna’ which is taking shapes in the hands of sensational director Rajamouli is doing a great business. Saloni is playing the lady love of Sunil in this film.
It is heard that the film rights had grossed nearly 23 crores and the satellites and DVD rights will secure 2 more crores. The main reason for gaining this much of huge amount is due to Rajamouli. Ranbir Kapoor is Nissan India’s brand ambassador
After superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has become the latest celebrity to join the car endorsement bandwagon. He has been roped in as the brand ambassador of Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL).
“I feel really good that such a big brand has given me this responsibility. It’s truly a good, comforting car and it’s not that expensive also,” Ranbir told reporters here Tuesday after the launch of Nissan’s first locally made car – Nissan Micra.
Considering his youth appeal and mass fan following, the 27-year-old has been roped in as the face of three other consumer brand giants like ITC John Players, Pepsi and Panasonic in the last six months.
“I am an actor and have to concentrate on it. When a brand comes and thinks that I am responsible enough, and have some capability to sell their product, I am more than happy to do it. Of course they pay well,” the actor quipped.
Ranbir has been signed for a three-year contract and will endorse the products and services of Nissan in India through promotion, advertising and marketing
The company also announced the start of a multi-media campaign (print, digital, radio and TV) featuring Ranbir starting Thursday.
“Ranbir Kapoor is an extremely passionate, versatile and talented film star and he has shown his pedigree in a very short period. We believe Ranbir with his uber cool charm and mass appeal brings in a perfect connect with our brand,” said Kiminobu Tokuyama, managing director and CEO, NMIPL.
Talking about his love for driving, Ranbir said: “At night going for a drive is the most therapeutic thing. It’s the time when I can think about my day, about what am I going to do.”
The actor who has garnered rave reviews for his performance in his recent release “Rajneeti” believes that there is no politics in the film industry.
“In my generation of actors and directors, there is lots of positivity. Of course there is certain competition as well but I haven’t seen any rajneeti (politics) as yet and I would like to believe that there is nothing like rajneeti in the film industry,” said Ranbir.
Siddharth’s bilingual flick titled ‘180’ in Telugu!
Already it was reported to our viewers that actor Siddharth is gearing up to work on his bilingual project to be made in both Tamil and Telugu from July and the title for Tamil version is ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’ and the Telugu title is yet to be finalized. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has some great vacation plans for his children – he is taking Aryan and Suhana to South Africa for the FIFA World Cup starting Friday.
“Taking kids for the matches (World Cup) in South Africa,” Shah Rukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. “Soccer is beautiful…will play today if it rains. Rains and soccer more of a turn on than a singing in the rain.”
Shah Rukh says he is nostalgic about the FIFA World Cup as he used to watch it with his mother.
“I am emotional about FIFA. My mom and me used to stay up and watch all night…because we had got ourselves a TV and only soccer post Doordarshan. (We) Used to keep up all night watching Rudi Voller (Germany), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (West Germany), Socrates (Brazil) and Diego Maradona (Argentina). Mom and me soccer and TV fans. Never miss matches and always miss mom,” he wrote.
The actor, who is quite fond of playing soccer with his children, says his favourite football teams are from Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Spain and England.
But he rues the sport failed to find prominence in cricket-crazy India.
“I am surprised that we were the only developing nation which did not take to football. Hope new generation takes it up now that we are leaders.”

‘Villain’ overseas rights sold for record prize! 0diggsdigg Raavanan
The overseas theoretical rights of Maniratnam’s magnum opus ‘Villain’ have been sold off by Big Pictures and Madras Talkies to London based Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International. There is a buzz that it was sold for a record prize of more than 6 crores as Maniratnam is said to be the king in the overseas market after his earlier film ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’.
Ayngaran International is planning to release the movie in more number of screens than Rajinikanth’s ‘Sivaji’. The Hindi version ‘Raavan’ was directly distributed by Reliance Big Pictures.
