Political turmoil: Tollywood lost over Rs 30 Cr
Tollywood has lost over Rs. 30 crore since November 29 following the political developments across all the three regions of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the Producers Council Secretary T. Prasanna Kumar, the film “Arya-2” starring Allu Arjun lost about Rs. 3 crore because theatres across the Andhra, Rayalaseema and Telangana regions were not allowed to screen the film. The suspense-thriller “Amaravathi” lost Rs. 70 lakh across the State.
In the State capital alone, the 10 shows that did not take place led to a loss of Rs. 30 lakh. The Priyamani and Jagapati Babu-starrer “Pravarakhyudu” lost Rs. 50 lakh.
NTR Jr’s film “Adurs” and Sekhar Kammula’s “Leader” the debut film of Daggubati Rana have post poned their releases.
