Both Suriya and Ram Gopal Varma took the questions posed by journalists on their upcoming film Rakta Charitra (Ratha Charithram in Tamil), which is gearing up to hit screens in three different languages — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Ram Gopal Varma said, “I’ve always been interested with topics that deal with the dark side.

This movie is based on true incidents that occurred in interior Andhra Pradesh. I wanted to make this movie in many languages as it needs to be told to as many people as possible. It is a violent film but the violence is in the emotion.

It has individualistic and extreme characters.” The film also has Vivek Oberoi and Priyamani, among others. Sharing his thoughts, Suriya said, “I found a message in my inbox saying ‘I loved your intensity in Kaakha Kaakha.’ It was from RGV. I had always wanted to meet him. After reading that mail, I met him and we’ve been good friends since. For a long time, I’ve wanted to work with him and then, Rakta Charitra happened.”. The Kollywood hunk also added that he is playing the role of Suri, the antagonist who has got a positive side as well.

Interestingly, the film is on the verge of being completed and it will be released as just one part in Tamil and two parts in both Hindi and Telugu. This also has Radhika Apte playing the leading lady for Vivek and the expectations are very high in all the sectors of film fraternity. Let us hope Ramu scores his revenge with this ambitious venture.
