MTV Won’t Air Jersey Shore Snookie Punch
MTV has decided not to air the scene where the Jersey Shore’s Snookie gets punched in the face by a guy. The controversial reality television show, Jersey Shore, has garnered an impressive amount of attention for the network, but MTV has decided that enough is enough and grew some morality afterall.

The aforementioned scene involved Snookie, one of the lead characters, at a Jersey Shore bar when she gets punched in the face by 24-year-old gym teacher, Lou Ferro. MTV released this following statement:
What happened to “Snooki” was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing,” MTV said in a statement Friday. “After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context to not show the severity of this act or the resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air “Snooki” being physically punched in next week’s episode.”
At the end of the episode, MTV plans to air a list of places where people can call if in an abusive relationship.
