An Andhraite’s open letter to Prof Jayashankar
Dear Professor:
The article on the left appeared in the 1st page of DC today. And the one on the right appeared in the 3rd page of the same publication. Just for a moment assume that Infosys Director Mr. Mohandas Pai reads the article on the left (which he most certainly would have). Professor gaaru in your learned opinion do you really think that Infosys by any stretch of imagination would ever consider investing in Hyderabad again? And also sir while you are at it could you please furnish ANY DATA that you might have on the proportion of Telengana youth working in the IT sector in the city. Would it surprise you that they are more than all the other regions of Andhra combined? And for good measure could you enlighten us as to how you would compensate for the loss of opportunities to the future generations of youngsters from the state, be it from Telengana or Andhra. All the callous talk about civil war from even learned people like you is plain baffling. What about democracy? What happened to winning votes and elections? What signals, sir, are you sending to the investors, present and future? If not for the sake of people, please consider replying to this question in one of the many TV shows that you appear on. Maybe one Mr. Mohandas Pai would get some much needed assurance. And the youth would get jobs.

A pained, but hopeful, Andhraite
